Recycled Sound II: Sonic Altar
Interdisciplinary artist Mary Mazurek explores the healing properties of creating a personal altar in Recycled Sound: Sonic Altar. By fashioning the form from discarded CD-r’s she hopes to bring awareness to the recycling these materials, but also seeks closure for past wrongs.
Installation utilizing 4000+ discarded CD-r’s with process audio piece, Columbia College Chicago December 2009 – March 2010.
